I was born in Panama City and raised in Lynn Haven, and no matter where life or my career has taken me, I’ve always come back home to be close to my family. I returned again in 2020 to help care for my mother until her passing in 2022, a time that reinforced just how important family and community are to me.

My career has been built on two paths: healthcare and business. I have worked as a healthcare professional for many years, and today I serve our community as a nurse anesthetist at a local hospital. That role has given me firsthand experience with the challenges patients, families, and healthcare workers face every single day. 

I also had the privilege of running an automobile dealership in downtown Panama City with my father, Buzz Leonard. Anyone in our community knows my dad. He has always been known as a fair and honest business leader, and I was fortunate to learn from the very best. Under our leadership, the dealership earned recognition as one of the most customer friendly automotive businesses in the Southeast. Managing the dealership taught me every aspect of running a successful business, from working with employees and managing budgets to understanding the economic realities that local businesses and working families face.
